51. Eva½ bhagav± buddhaguŗapaµil±bh±vas±na½ attano asammohavih±ra½ br±hmaŗassa dassetv± id±ni y±ya paµipad±ya ta½ koµippatta½ asammohavih±ra½ adhigato, ta½ pubbabh±gato pabhuti dassetu½ ±raddha½ kho pana me br±hmaŗ±ti-±dim±ha.
Keci pan±hu “ima½ asammohavih±ra½ sutv± br±hmaŗassa cittameva½ uppanna½ ‘k±ya nu kho paµipad±ya ima½ patto’ti, tassa cittamańń±ya im±y±ha½ paµipad±ya ima½ uttama½ asammohavih±ra½ pattoti dassento evam±h±”ti.
Tattha ±raddha½ kho pana me, br±hmaŗa, v²riya½ ahos²ti, br±hmaŗa, na may± aya½ uttamo asammohavih±ro kus²tena muµµhassatin± s±raddhak±yena vikkhittacittena v± adhigato, apica kho tadadhigam±ya ±raddha½ kho pana me v²riya½ ahosi, bodhimaŗ¹e nisinnena may± caturaŖgav²riya½ ±raddha½ ahosi, paggahita½ asithilappavattitanti vutta½ hoti. ¾raddhatt±yeva ca meta½ asall²na½ ahosi.
Upaµµhit± sati asammuµµh±ti na kevalańca v²riyameva, satipi me ±rammaŗ±bhimukh²bh±vena upaµµhit± ahosi. Upaµµhitatt±yeva ca asammuµµh±. Passaddho k±yoti k±yacittappassaddhisambhavena k±yopi me passaddho ahosi. Tattha yasm± n±mak±ye passaddhe r³pak±yopi passaddhoyeva hoti, tasm± n±mak±yo r³pak±yoti avisesetv±va passaddho k±yoti vutta½. As±raddhoti so ca kho passaddhatt±yeva as±raddho, vigatadarathoti vutta½ hoti. Sam±hita½ citta½ ekagganti cittampi me samm± ±hita½ suµµhu µhapita½ appita½ viya ahosi. Sam±hitatt± eva ca ekagga½ acala½ nipphandananti, ett±vat± jh±nassa pubbabh±gapaµipad± kathit± hoti.
Id±ni im±ya paµipad±ya adhigata½ paµhamajjh±na½ ±di½ katv± vijj±ttayapariyos±na½ visesa½ dassento so kho ahanti-±dim±ha. Tattha vivicceva k±mehi…pe… catutthajjh±na½ upasampajja vih±sinti ettha t±va ya½ vattabba½ siy±, ta½ sabba½ visuddhimagge pathav²kasiŗakath±ya½ vutta½. Kevalańhi tattha “upasampajja viharat²”ti ±gata½, idha “vih±sin”ti, ayameva viseso. Ki½ katv± pana bhagav± im±ni jh±n±ni upasampajja vih±s²ti, kammaµµh±na½ bh±vetv±. Katara½? ¾n±p±nassatikammaµµh±na½.
Im±ni ca pana catt±ri jh±n±ni kesańci cittekaggatatth±ni honti, kesańci vipassan±p±dak±ni, kesańci abhińń±p±dak±ni, kesańci nirodhap±dak±ni, kesańci bhavokkamanatth±ni. Tattha kh²ŗ±sav±na½ cittekaggatatth±ni honti. Te hi sam±pajjitv± ekaggacitt± sukha½ divasa½ vihariss±m±ti icceva½ kasiŗaparikamma½ katv± aµµha sam±pattiyo nibbattenti. Sekkhaputhujjan±na½ sam±pattito vuµµh±ya sam±hitena cittena vipassiss±m±ti nibbattent±na½ vipassan±p±dak±ni honti. Ye pana aµµha sam±pattiyo nibbattetv± abhińń±p±dakajjh±na½ sam±pajjitv± sam±pattito vuµµh±ya “ekopi hutv± bahudh± hot²”ti (d². ni. 1.238; paµi. ma. 1.102) vuttanay± abhińń±yo patthent± nibbattenti, tesa½ abhińń±p±dak±ni honti. Ye pana aµµha sam±pattiyo nibbattetv± nirodhasam±patti½ sam±pajjitv± satt±ha½ acitt± hutv± diµµheva dhamme nirodha½ nibb±na½ patv± sukha½ vihariss±m±ti nibbattenti, tesa½ nirodhap±dak±ni honti. Ye pana aµµha sam±pattiyo nibbattetv± aparih²najjh±n± brahmaloke uppajjiss±m±ti nibbattenti, tesa½ bhavokkamanatth±ni honti.
Bhagavat± panida½ catutthajjh±na½ bodhirukkham³le nibbattita½, ta½ tassa vipassan±p±dakańceva ahosi abhińń±p±dakańca sabbakiccas±dhakańca, sabbalokiyalokuttaraguŗad±yakanti veditabba½.
