Idha panekacco pabbatantare gambh²r±ya ghanavanappaµicchann±ya giriguh±ya satt±havaddalik±ya vattam±n±ya antarahitas³riy±loke k±le nisinno hoti. Atha ratti½ ravanakasakuº± ul³k±dayo majjhanhikasamayepi tattha tattha samandhak±re nil²n± rattisaññ±ya v± aññehi v± k±raºehi ravanti. So tesa½ sadda½ sutv± div±yeva sam±na½ ratt²ti sañj±n±ti. Eva½ sakuºarutato eva½saññino hont²ti. Idamahanti ida½ aha½ eva½ sañj±nana½ Sammohavih±rasmi½ vad±m²ti sammohavih±rapariy±panna½ antogadha½, sammohavih±r±na½ aññatara½ vad±m²ti vutta½ hoti.
Aha½ kho pana br±hmaºa…pe… sañj±n±m²ti p±kaµo bodhisattassa rattindivaparicchedo satt±havaddalepi candimas³riyesu adissam±nesupi j±n±tiyeva “ettaka½ purebhattak±lo gato, ettaka½ pacch±bhattak±lo, ettaka½ paµhamay±mo, ettaka½ majjhimay±mo, ettaka½ pacchimay±mo”ti, tasm± evam±ha. Anacchariyañceta½ ya½ p³ritap±ram² bodhisatto eva½ j±n±ti. Padesañ±ºe µhit±na½ s±vak±nampi hi rattindivaparicchedo p±kaµo hoti.
Kaly±ºiyamah±vih±re kira godattatthero dvaªgulak±le bhatta½ gahetv± aªgulak±le bhuñjati. S³riye adissam±nepi p±toyeva sen±sana½ pavisitv± t±ya vel±ya nikkhamati. Ekadivasa½ ±r±mik± “sve therassa nikkhamanak±le pass±m±”ti bhatta½ samp±detv± k±latthambham³le nis²di½su. Thero dvaªgulak±leyeva nikkhamati. Tato pabhuti kira s³riye adissam±nepi therassa nikkhamanasaññ±ya eva bheri½ ±koµenti.
Ajagaravih±repi k±¼adevatthero antovasse y±magaº¹ika½ paharati, ±ciººameta½ therassa. Na ca y±mayantan±¼ika½ payojeti, aññe bhikkh³ payojenti. Atha nikkhante paµhame y±me there muggara½ gahetv± µhitamatteyeva eka½ dve v±re paharanteyeva v± y±mayanta½ patati, eva½ t²su y±mesu samaºadhamma½ katv± thero p±toyeva g±ma½ pavisitv± piº¹ap±ta½ ±d±ya vih±ra½ ±gantv± bhojanavel±ya patta½ gahetv± div± vih±raµµh±na½ gantv± samaºadhamma½ karoti. Bhikkh³ k±latthambha½ disv± therassa adisv± ±gamanatth±ya pesenti. So bhikkhu thera½ div± vih±raµµh±n± nikkhamantameva v± antar±magge v± passati. Eva½ padesañ±ºe µhit±na½ s±vak±nampi rattindivaparicchedo p±kaµo hoti, kimaªga½ pana bodhisatt±nanti.
Ya½ kho ta½ br±hmaºa…pe… vadeyy±ti ettha pana “ya½ kho ta½, br±hmaºa, asammohadhammo satto loke uppanno…pe… sukh±ya devamanuss±nan”ti vacana½ vadam±no koci samm± vadeyya, samm± vadam±no siy±, na vitathav±d² assa. Mameva ta½ vacana½ vadam±no samm± vadeyya, samm± vadam±no siy±, na vitathav±d² ass±ti eva½ padasambandho veditabbo.
Tattha asammohadhammoti asammohasabh±vo. Loketi manussaloke. Bahujanahit±y±ti bahujanassa hitatth±ya, paññ±sampattiy± diµµhadhammikasampar±yikahit³padesakoti. Bahujanasukh±y±ti bahujanassa sukhatth±ya, c±gasampattiy± upakaraºasukhassa d±yakoti. Lok±nukamp±y±ti lokassa anukampatth±ya, mett±karuº±sampattiy± m±t±pitaro viya lokassa rakkhit± gopayit±ti. Atth±ya hit±ya sukh±ya devamanuss±nanti idha devamanussaggahaºena ca bhabbapuggalaveneyyasatteyeva gahetv± tesa½ nibb±namaggaphal±dhigam±ya attano uppatti½ dasset²ti veditabbo. Atth±y±ti hi vutte paramatthatth±ya nibb±n±y±ti vutta½ hoti. Hit±y±ti vutte ta½ samp±pakamaggatth±y±ti vutta½ hoti, nibb±nasamp±pakamaggato hi uttari hita½ n±ma natthi. Sukh±y±ti vutte phalasam±pattisukhatth±y±ti vutta½ hoti, tato uttari sukh±bh±vato. Vuttañceta½ “aya½ sam±dhi paccuppannasukho ceva ±yatiñca sukhavip±ko”ti (d². ni. 3.355; a. ni. 5.27; vibha. 804).
