Tath± hesa– “seyyath±pissu, bhikkhave, dve ag±r± sadv±r±, tattha cakkhum± puriso majjhe µhito passeyy±”ti (ma. ni. 3.261) sakalampi devad³tasutta½ upama½ paµhama½ dassetv± pacch± attha½ dassento ±ha. “Tirokuµµa½ tirop±k±ra½ tiropabbata½ asajjam±no gacchati, seyyath±pi ±k±se”ti-±din± (d². ni. 1.238; paµi. ma. 1.102) pana nayena sakalampi iddhividhamattha½ paµhama½ dassetv± pacch± upama½ dassento ±ha. “Seyyath±pi br±hmaºapuriso s±ratthiko s±ragaves²”ti-±din±va (ma. ni. 1.318) nayena sakalampi c³¼as±ropamasutta½ upam±ya attha½ pariv±retv± dassento ±ha. “Idha pana, bhikkhave, ekacce kulaputt± dhamma½ pariy±puºanti sutta½…pe… seyyath±pi, bhikkhave, puriso alagaddatthiko”ti-±din± (ma. ni. 1.238) nayena sakalampi alagaddasutta½ mah±s±ropamasuttanti evam±d²ni sutt±ni atthena upama½ pariv±retv± dassento ±ha.
Sv±ya½ idha paµhama½ upama½ dassetv± pacch± attha½ dasseti. Kasm± paneva½ bhagav± dasset²ti? Puggalajjh±sayena v± desan±vil±sena v±. Ye hi puggal± paµhama½ upama½ dassetv± vuccam±namattha½ sukhena paµivijjhanti, tesa½ paµhama½ upama½ dasseti. Esa nayo sabbattha. Yass± ca dhammadh±tuy± suppaµividdhatt± desan±vil±sa½ patto hoti, tass± suppaµividdh±. Tasm± esa desan±vil±sampatto dhammissaro dhammar±j±, so yath± yath± icchati, tath± tath± dhamma½ deset²ti eva½ imin± puggalajjh±sayena v± desan±vil±sena v± eva½ dasset²ti veditabbo.
Tattha vatthanti pakatiparisuddha½ vattha½. Sa½kiliµµha½ malaggahitanti ±gantukena pa½suraj±din± sa½kilesena sa½kiliµµha½, sedajallik±din± malena gahitatt± malaggahita½. Raªgaj±teti ettha raªgameva raªgaj±ta½. Upasa½hareyy±ti upan±meyya. Yadi n²lak±y±ti n²lak±ya v±, n²lakatth±ya v±ti vutta½ hoti. Eva½ sabbattha. Rajako hi n²lakatth±ya upasa½haranto ka½san²lapal±san²l±dike n²laraªge upasa½harati. P²takatth±ya upasa½haranto kaºik±rapupphasadise p²takaraªge. Durattavaººamevass±ti duµµhu rañjitavaººameva assa. Aparisuddhavaººamevass±ti n²lavaººopissa parisuddho na bhaveyya, sesavaººopi. T±disañhi vattha½ n²lakumbhiy± pakkhittampi sun²la½ na hoti, sesakumbh²su pakkhittampi p²tak±divaººa½ na hoti, mil±tan²la kuraº¹a-kaºik±ra-bandhuj²vaka-kaºav²rapupphavaººameva hoti. Ta½ kissa het³ti ta½ vattha½ kissa hetu ki½ k±raº± ²disa½ hoti, tasmi½ v± vatthe raªgaj±ta½ kissa hetu ²disa½ durattavaººa½ aparisuddhavaººa½ hot²ti? Yasm± panassa vatthassa sa½kiliµµhabh±voyevettha k±raºa½, na añña½ kiñci, tasm± “aparisuddhatt±, bhikkhave, vatthass±”ti ±ha.
Evameva khoti upam±sampaµip±dana½. Citte sa½kiliµµheti cittamhi sa½kiliµµhamhi. Kasm± pana bhagav± sa½kiliµµhavatthena opamma½ ak±s²ti ce, v±y±mamahapphaladassanattha½. Yath± hi ±gantukehi malehi sa½kiliµµha½ vattha½ pakatiy± paº¹aratt± puna dhov²yam±na½ paº¹ara½ hoti, na tattha j±tik±¼ake viya e¼akalome v±y±mo nipphalo hoti, eva½ cittampi ±gantukehi kilesehi sa½kiliµµha½. Pakatiy± pana ta½ sakalepi paµisandhibhavaªgav±re paº¹arameva. Yath±ha– “pabhassaramida½, bhikkhave, citta½, tañca kho ±gantukehi upakkilesehi upakkiliµµhan”ti (a. ni. 1.51). Ta½ visodh²yam±na½ sakk± pabhassaratara½ k±tu½, na tattha v±y±mo nipphaloti eva½ v±y±mamahapphaladassanattha½ sa½kiliµµhavatthena opamma½ ak±s²ti veditabbo.
Duggati p±µikaªkh±ti ²dise citte duggati p±µikaªkhitabb±, duggati½ eva esa p±puºissati n±ññanti eva½ duggati icchitabb±, avassa½ bh±v²ti vutta½ hoti. S± c±ya½ duggati n±ma paµipattiduggati, gatiduggat²ti duvidh± hoti. Paµipattiduggatipi ag±riyapaµipattiduggati, anag±riyapaµipattiduggat²ti duvidh± hoti.
Ag±riyo hi sa½kiliµµhacitto p±ºampi hanati, adinnampi ±diyati, sakalepi dasa akusalakammapathe p³reti, ayamassa ag±riyapaµipattiduggati. So tattha µhito k±yassa bhed± nirayampi gacchati, tiracch±nayonimpi, pettivisayampi gacchati, ayamassa gatiduggati.
Anag±riyopi imasmi½ s±sane pabbajito sa½kiliµµhacitto d³teyyapahiºagamana½ gacchati, vejjakamma½ karoti, saªghabhed±ya cetiyabhed±ya parakkamati, ve¼ud±n±d²hi j²vika½ kappeti, sakalampi an±c±ra½ agocarañca parip³reti, ayamassa anag±riyapaµipattiduggati.So tattha µhito k±yassa bhed± nirayampi gacchati, tiracch±nayonimpi, pettivisayampi gacchati samaºayakkho n±ma hoti samaºapeto, ±dittehi saªgh±µi-±d²hi sampajjalitak±yo aµµassara½ karonto vicarati, ayamassa gatiduggati.
Seyyath±p²ti sukkapakkha½ dassetum±raddho, tassattho kaºhapakkhe vuttapaccan²keneva veditabbo. Etth±pi ca sugati n±ma paµipattisugati gatisugat²ti duvidh± hoti. Paµipattisugatipi ag±riyapaµipattisugati anag±riyapaµipattisugat²ti duvidh± hoti. Ag±riyo hi parisuddhacitto p±º±tip±t±pi viramati, adinn±d±n±pi, sakalepi dasa kusalakammapathe parip³reti, ayamassa ag±riyapaµipattisugati. So tattha µhito k±yassa bhed± manussamahantatampi devamahantatampi upapajjati, ayamassa gatisugati.
Anag±riyopi imasmi½ s±sane pabbajitv± parisuddhacitto catup±risuddhis²la½ sodheti, terasa dhutaªg±ni sam±diyati, aµµhati½s±rammaºesu attano anuk³lakammaµµh±na½ gahetv± pantasen±sane paµisevam±no kasiºaparikamma½ katv± jh±nasam±pattiyo nibbatteti, sot±pattimagga½ bh±veti…pe… an±g±mimagga½ bh±veti, ayamassa anag±riyapaµipattisugati. So tattha µhito k±yassa bhed± manussaloke v± t²su mah±kulesu, chasu v± k±m±vacaradevesu, dasasu v± brahmabhavanesu pañcasu v± suddh±v±sesu, cat³su v± ±ruppesu upapajjati, ayamassa gatisugat²ti.
71. Eva½ sa½kiliµµhe citte duggati p±µikaªkh±, asa½kiliµµhe ca sugat²ti vatv± id±ni yehi upakkilesehi citta½ sa½kiliµµha½ hoti, te dassento katame ca, bhikkhave, cittassa upakkiles± Abhijjh± visamalobhoti-±dim±ha.
Tattha sakabhaº¹e chandar±go abhijjh±, parabhaº¹e visamalobho. Atha v± sakabhaº¹e v± parabhaº¹e v± hotu, yuttapattaµµh±ne chandar±go abhijjh±, ayutt±pattaµµh±ne visamalobho. Thero pan±ha “kissa vinibbhoga½ karotha, yutte v± ayutte v± hotu, ‘r±go visama½ doso visama½ moho visaman’ti (vibha. 924) vacanato na koci lobho avisamo n±ma, tasm± lobhoyeva abhijjh±yanaµµhena abhijjh±, visamaµµhena visama½, ekatthameta½ byañjanameva n±nan”ti. So panesa abhijjh±visamalobho uppajjitv± citta½ d³seti, obh±situ½ na deti. Tasm± “cittassa upakkileso”ti vuccati.
Yath± cesa, eva½ navavidha-±gh±tavatthusambhavo by±p±do. Dasavidha-±gh±tavatthusambhavo kodho. Punappuna½ cittapariyonandhano upan±ho. Ag±riyassa v± anag±riyassa v± sukatakaraºavin±sano makkho. Ag±riyopi hi kenaci anukampakena daliddo sam±no ucce µh±ne µhapito, aparena samayena “ki½ tay± mayha½ katan”ti tassa sukatakaraºa½ vin±seti. Anag±riyopi s±maºerak±lato pabhuti ±cariyena v± upajjh±yena v± cat³hi paccayehi uddesaparipucch±hi ca anuggahetv± dhammakath±nayapakaraºakosall±d²ni sikkh±pito, aparena samayena r±jar±jamah±matt±d²hi sakkato garukato ±cariyupajjh±yesu acitt²kato caram±no “aya½ amhehi daharak±le eva½ anuggahito sa½va¹¹hito ca, atha panid±ni nissineho j±to”ti vuccam±no “ki½ mayha½ tumhehi katan”ti tesa½ sukatakaraºa½ vin±seti, tassa so sukatakaraºavin±sano makkho uppajjitv± citta½ d³seti, obh±situ½ na deti. Yath± c±ya½, eva½ bahussutepi puggale ajjhottharitv± “²disassa ceva bahussutassa aniyat± gati, tava v± mama v± ko viseso”ti-±din± nayena uppajjam±no yugagg±hag±h² pa¼±so. Paresa½ sakk±r±d²ni kh²yan± iss±. Attano sampattiy± parehi s±dh±raºabh±va½ asaham±na½ macchariya½. Vañcanikacariyabh³t± m±y±. Ker±µikabh±vena uppajjam±na½ s±µheyya½. Ker±µiko hi ±yatanamaccho viya hoti. ¾yatanamaccho n±ma kira macch±na½ naªguµµha½ dasseti sapp±na½ s²sa½ “tumhehi sadiso ahan”ti j±n±petu½. Evameva ker±µiko puggalo ya½ ya½ suttantika½ v± ±bhidhammika½ v± upasaªkamati, ta½ ta½ eva½ vadati “aha½ tumh±ka½ baddhacaro, tumhe mayha½ anukampak±, n±ha½ tumhe muñc±m²”ti “evamete ‘sag±ravo aya½ amhesu sappatisso’ti maññissant²”ti. Tasseta½ ker±µikabh±vena uppajjam±na½ s±µheyya½ uppajjitv± citta½ d³seti, obh±situ½ na deti. Tasm± “cittassa upakkileso”ti vuccati.
Yath± ceta½, eva½ v±tabharitabhastasadisathaddhabh±vapaggahitasira-aniv±tavuttik±rakaraºo thambho. Taduttarikaraºo s±rambho. So duvidhena labbhati akusalavasena ceva kusalavasena ca. Tattha ag±riyassa parena kata½ alaªk±r±di½ disv± taddiguºakaraºena uppajjam±no, anag±riyassa ca yattaka½ yattaka½ paro pariy±puº±ti v± katheti v±, m±navasena taddiguºataddiguºakaraºena uppajjam±no akusalo.
